I own an 87 savage which is my first street bike. Ive had it for about 7 or so months. I can get up on a fairly cool morning around 40 or so and let it idle at full choke for around 5 min. give or take some and then take the choke of and ride to work ... it takes about a mile or so for the idle to ever come up but in the afternoon when i leave the bike has been sitting in 80 degree weather for awhile.. i let it full choke idle for about the same time and im almost all the way home before it ever warms up .... work to home is about 10 or so miles.... ive not done any of the spacer removal or fuel/air mix screw adjustments... when i bought it it ran really rich because of the jets having been drilled out... the first week i had the bike the fouling plug made me get hard on the throttle getting onto a main road and haveing the bike end slide out from under me and ending up in a ditch.. so i am weary of anything that might possible cause the bike to run that rich..also can anyone recommend something good to take the blue out of the stock pipes... Thanx in advance
